Cross of Many Squares Quilt~ Starter Kit 50~ 5inch Squares

Description

The CrossOfManySquares Quilt Simple Starter Kit contains: 

• 50 (5 inch) Squares of assorted fabric (you can cut them down into smaller sizes, if  you want)
• the CoMS pattern and instructions printed out
• and a photo (or photo magnet) of the *original CoMS quilt for added inspiration.

These pre-cut Squares represent Liturgical colors of the church year:

• Blue– Advent (the coming of Messiah) (the 40 days before Christmas)
• White and Gold– Christmas, Easter, and Ascension
• Green– Epiphany (growth and learning) (the longest parts of the year)
• Purple, Rose, Dark Red– Lent (the Passion of Christ) (the 40 days before Easter)
• Black– Good Friday and our sin (the Crucifixion of Christ)
• Bright Red– the Holy Blood of Jesus Christ, and Pentecost (the coming of the HolySpirit)

These pre-cut Squares are an assortment of Batiks, printed Cotton, Linen, a sprinkle of CherrywoodHandDyedCotton, Vintage or Whimsical prints, and maybe even some Flannel or FlourSack squares.

• This set of 50 (5 inch) Squares is enough to make 200 (2.5 inch) squares,
• or to make 800 (1.5 inch) squares, in case you want to make your CoMS Quilt as a wallhanging size.

You need 768 squares total… so you will still need to add from your scraps to have Dark, Medium and Blush tones of your Swooshes of Color.
